Junior Shaywa Safi and Senior Nimbla Safi has been traveling with their family all over the world, to over 9 different countries. Some of those countries include Canada, Turkey, Spain, England, Italy, Germany, Afghanistan, Mexico, Dubi, and more.
“It was really cool to see all the different cultures and different ways that the society works,” Shaywa said.
Safi and her family have seen many countries and gone to many different places, but her favorite country is where her family is from.
“Turkey is a country that not a lot of people travel to because it’s kind of sketchy, but it’s really beautiful and has so much culture and a lot of activities to do there,” Shaywa said. “Afghanistan because it’s a country no one travels to and I really enjoy traveling there. My family is there and it’s my homeland, and it was fun and beautiful to travel there.”
Senior Nimbla Safi, Shaywa’s sister, has also found some of her own culture while traveling with her family.
“It’s really interesting to travel to Muslim countries because I’m also Muslim,” Nimbla said. “When we meet people that speak the same language as us they give us discounts and they’re more friendly.”
Through all the traveling the sisters have done, their favorite part about traveling is being with their family when they go.
“I went with my family and there were like 30 of us,” Shaywa said.
