Fearless Christian Club will be hosting their first Worship night in the Patty Baker theater this Tuesday, the 20th.
“We’ve had worship days in our club before in Mr. Hobbs room, but we’re hoping to just expand it, make a bigger scale, make it more accessible for people to come after school so their clubs don’t interfere,” Lyman said.
The club leaders aim to create a safe space where everyone feels included, allowing them to experience religion together as a community.
“I want this worship night to basically allow people to give it all to God, and for them to feel peace, for them to feel love like I once did when I really came to God and gave him everything that was holding me down. The vision of the night is simply that, for people to bring hidden things to light, so that transformation can happen in their life because I believe that that’s where peace comes from, and everything people are trying to look for in God.” Park said.
The club has decided to bring in a worship band named Open Space to liven up the mood and bring energy to the night.
“We are partnering with a worship band called Open Space that we are bringing to play worship songs and partner with some student singers as well,” Lyman said.
The goal of this night is for people to have a night to remember, and to be able to connect not only with God but also with their peers.
“Everybody should come, even if you do not believe. We would just love to see you there, we would love to make a community, we would love to just meet you. We are having a prayer team there for anyone who needs just prayers or questions. The band is beautiful. We have slow songs, we have hype songs. We are just so excited to bring this on campus. We have been working super hard planning it, and we just want everyone to feel welcome. Everyone is welcome. Everyone should check it out, even if you don’t know what worship is, you’ve never been to a worship night. We want you there, we want to meet you, we want to talk to you, so everyone should come.” Lyman said.
