Josh Errecart, a P.E teacher at Roseville High School, has recently taken over Peer Helping due to medical leave. Errecart is ready to take on the adventure of keeping the class tradition alive.
“I’d hope it’d be a good, positive change, just a slight change. You know, we’re not changing any of the curriculum, we’re not changing any of the culture, the activities. What obviously will change is the personality at the leadership level, me [Errecart]. At the teaching level, and so I think that might give a good, great juxtaposition for the students where they get just a little bit different tweak, a little bit different perspective and personality, but to the same material, which I hope will be a positive thing.” Errecart said.
A student from Peer Helping has high hopes for the class this semester, despite the absence of Mrs. Erb.
“I am feeling good about the class. I think so far it’s been pretty good. I think Mr. Errecart knows what he’s doing. Obviously, it’s gonna be a little different without Mrs. Erb, but I think it’ll be good.” Musquez said.
Errecart has many goals for the program, one of which is to maintain the same culture and values that Mrs. Erb established.
”In terms of peer helping, my goals for peer helping this semester would be mostly to carry the torch for Mrs. Erb, for the program, especially regarding keeping the culture alive for what she’s built. Definitely not trying to be or replace Mrs. Erb. No one can replace Mrs. Erb, but I can definitely try to maintain her culture and her program the way she’d want it.”
