Pyper Salisbury is an Aerialist at Flip2it Sports Center. Salisbury does performances and competitions. She does group performances with her coworkers and solo online competitions, and she has been awarded 1st place in the hoop category.
“I mean I do performances like, we just recently did one for a birthday party which is actually really funny but it was really fun and it was a super fun way to like connect with other aerialists because we are all coordinating and choreographing like one routine,” Salisbury said.
Salisbury plans to grow and expand on the sport of aerial up to when she graduates, and she shines in teaching kids to reach new heights like Salisbury.
“I do love it a lot that like I will continue to like to do it until my high school career is over like until I graduate and I’m also like coaching it now and I work here and I think that it’s a really fun way to explore aerial silks more,” Salisbury said.
Salisbury’s coach Sharly Magnusson has been coaching Salisbury for four years and believes that Salisbury is striving in aerial, and taking it to the next level.
“Pyper is a phenomenal aerialist, she always strives to reach new heights and push herself to her limits, She is never afraid of a challenge, she loves to learn new skills that are really hard for her and then have to figure out how to twist through it and work it out or break it down,” Magnusson said.
Salisbury believes that everyone should try aerial, and seeing the smiles on her student’s faces makes her happy that she could help everyone feel good about themselves, and in their sport.
“I think everyone should do it, I think it’s super fun. I mean like I have a lot of students who like I help them achieve something or like help them learn a new move and their so happy and makes me so happy that like I could help them do that so I think it’s really fun when like more people get into silks,” Salisbury said.
