Lil Tecca’s new album shows instant success and consistency

Soundcloud Rapper “Lil Tecca” recently came out with his first album, We Love You Tecca. I’m not going to hold anything back because it’s one of the best albums I’ve heard this year. It’s ability to keep the listener intrigued while giving you a great song is impeccable.

Lil Tecca first came out with a single called Ransom and it went viral. Ransom topped of at #5 on Billboard top 100 and over 50 million plays in the first week of being released. And to note, Lil Tecca was only 16 at the time. For any 16 year old, this is a huge accomplishment.

Shortly after his 17th Birthday, Tecca released his album through Galactic Records and Republic Records. This album contains 17 songs and there isn’t one that I wouldn’t listen to. Each song sounded better than the last. While listening to the album, each song was obviously different, which is a nice change because listening to new albums I usually feel like im listening to the same song the whole time. Although this album wasn’t very anticipated, it is proudly accepted.

After dropping Ransom, Lil Tecca blew up. This doesn’t happen that often, but it has definitely become a trend in the last few years. Most of these rappers are releasing their music on soundcloud, which is the perfect platform for up and coming artists because it has over 175 Million users. So many rappers have begun on Soundcloud, such as XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, Ski Mask the Slump God, Juice WRLD, Travis Scott, Post Molone, 21 Savage, Trippie Redd, Lil Skies, Chance the Rapper, and Playboi Carti. But it’s almost impossible to list them all because the list goes on and on.

Even though it seems most rappers have started on Soundcloud, a majority of them don’t have such a huge start like Lil Tecca. The only soundcloud rappers that had a big start, and also managed to stay relevant are Lil Uzi Vert and Chance the Rapper.

Both of these artists have released multiple albums now, so Lil Tecca has some catching up to do. But based on his first album being a banger, I don’t think he will have that big of a problem. His heavy hitters on this album are Bossanova and Sidenote. Each of these songs are incredibly put together. I hope these songs set a standard for Lil Tecca’s music in the future. Altogether, this album is a total banger and is definitely worth an entire listen.
