Roseville High School held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2016 last night. The event commenced at 7 p.m.
Valedictorian Kevin Carlson and salutatorian Makenna Vulgas addressed their class, reflecting on the past four years and looking toward the future.
“It was a great experience to address the Class of 2016 as we head into the real world,” Carlson said. “It really means a lot to know that your class entrusted you with such an honor for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
The Class of 2016 submitted a record 1,439 local scholarship applications and received 74 scholarships, as well as 53 seals of biliteracy, 47 Presidential Excellence awards, 39 seals from the California Scholarship Federation and 13 Department Excellence awards.
