Last night the girls varsity basketball team defeated the Ponderosa Bruins 61-25, completing their first half of league. They currently sit in fourth place with a record of 4-3.

Senior Ashley Beam feels that although they started league off with three losses in their first four games, they have been able to find a groove that will hopefully carry on to the second half of league.

“Even though we started off slow, these last few games have really raised our confidence and we are excited to get a second chance at the teams currently above us,” Beam said.

Their hunt for a playoff spot begins on Tuesday as they take on Del Campo– the team currently one win behind them.
