The Varsity Boys Basketball Team was able to defeat the Oakmont Vikings by a score of 64-50 this past Friday. The win comes off of a two game losing streak, that being the first time all season that the Tigers lost two in a row. Senior Blake Beaman mentioned how important this game was to keep their goal of winning league within reach.

“We knew that we needed to win this game in order to stay in contention for the league title, even though it is early in the season,” Beaman said.

The Tigers started the game off on a 17-3 run, and that momentum carried the Tigers throughout the rest of the game.

“Getting on the run at the start of the game was huge for us, and we never stopped scoring after that,” said Beaman.

The Tigers are now 3-2 in league, and will face off against the Bella Vista Broncos this Thursday.
