Last night, the varsity girls soccer team remained undefeated after beating the Whitney Wildcats 1-0. The Tigers achieved victory due to a goal from last years’ top scorer, Mackenzie Gill, assisted by defender Kylie Granno.

Junior Kelsey Gill reflected on the win and the game winning moment

“It was great to win against another strong team. When I passed it to Kylie, she gave a great pass to Mack, who finished the goal,” Gill said. “It was really nice how we all came together against our rival.”

Gill also understands the magnitude of this win and also looks on to keep their undefeated streak.

“After beating them in PKs last year in the section championship, we knew this was a big game going into it, so to get the win against another great team is awesome for us,” Gill said. “Hopefully going forward, we can stay undefeated for as long as possible.”

The tigers will look to maintain the streak this Friday at Ponderosa, where they will play the Bruins who are undefeated and currently first in league.
