Roseville High School installed a new gate near the side of Independence High School. The intention behind the gate is to deter parents from entering the lot for safety reasons. 

Independence High School principal Debra Latteri hopes that the new gate will keep buses on schedule. In the past, buses have had problems with parents delaying the buses by picking up and dropping off RHS students in the Independence parking lot. According to Latteri, students in the past have almost been hit by cars pulling in and out of the parking lot.

Latteri hopes that the new gate will help prevent future accidents from happening. Latteri also hopes that this new gate will help stop people from parking in the Independence parking lot.
