Friday night, the girls varsity defeated the Bella Vista Broncos 2-1 with goals from Amber Pon and Kelsey Gill. Last year, the Tigers were unable to defeat the Broncos at Bella Vista, so junior Hannah Heaton was glad the team was able to win despite the Broncos’ unique field conditions.

“The field was grass and horribly muddy. Everyone was slipping everywhere,” Heaton said.

After the triumphant win, Heaton felt the team was able to persevere and unite as a team to maintain their undefeated streak.

“We worked well as a team to pass around their defense,” Heaton said. “It’s really cool how we remain undefeated.”

After their win against the Broncos, the Tigers are now 3-0-1 in league.
