The girls varsity volleyball team took their second loss of the CVC league season to Ponderosa last night. The Tigers lost to the Bruins in three sets of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13.

Sophomore middle blocker Kate Slack felt the loss was due to the lack of energy and since the team didn’t perform as they usually do.

“Pondo just came out really strong,” Slack said. “We let them get too many points and made a lot of easy mistakes.”

Despite the loss, Slack was recognized as player of the match and continued her strong season.

“I just had a lot of energy and definitely performed better than I have in previous games.” Slack said.

Despite the loss, Slack feels that the Tigers will respond to the adversity and work even harder in practice to fix the mistakes. The Tigers take on the Oakmont Vikings to wrap up the first half of the CVC season this Thursday night.
