College representatives visited RJUHSD this week at events held for students at Roseville High School as well as Woodcreek High.

Roseville students, families and staff visited WHS last night to sample over 120 represented colleges as part of the annual RJUHSD College Fair.

RHS College and Career Center technician Jacquie Seider organized college presentations on campus spanning throughout August, September and October. Students can register online to attend the college visits hosted during school hours at the College and Career Center and are sent a permission slip from Seider to excuse them from class in order to attend.

Seider believes the benefit of the college visits lie in the personability of the representatives and content they deliver.

“The representatives of the colleges are former students so they know the ins and outs, they know the scholarships and the tuition they can give you a really personal look at what the college has to offer,” Seider said.

There are a variety of schools slated to visit from all over the country. Seider recommends students look at a CSU, a UC, a private school, and a vocational school to help make their upcoming decision.

β€œIt’s really exciting, I think the variety of colleges we have coming out here is really good for our students to get an idea of what’s out there because they’re going to have to make some decisions really soon.” Seider said.
