Admin condemns senior water balloon prank

Students participated in a water balloon fight in the hallway between Moeller Gym and Senior Square after first period today.

In an announcement over the PA system during second period, principal David Byrd responded to the prank, issuing warnings of suspensions or not being able to walk the stage. He also said that he heard seniors are planning to bring dogs to campus tomorrow, and warned disciplinary action.

@RHSPrankWeek, a Twitter account that put a out a plan for senior pranks, tweeted during fourth period that it has discontinued its gags planned for the rest of the week.

Senior Megan Anderson is worried for her fellow classmates that participated in the water balloon fight.

“We didn’t think about the consequences. We didn’t make the adult decision and think about what could’ve come from it like what Byrd talked about,” Anderson said.
