UPDATE: This article previously reported five male court nominees. Staff removed the fifth boy for disciplinary reasons.

Student Government adviser Brent Mattix announced junior prom court nominees last Friday, naming Alyssa Abbott, Kendall Artica, Courtney Carpenter, Aijalon Johnston and Zaniya Jones as court royalty, along with Zach Jose, Dominic Taylor, Javier Jasso and Joey Margaroni.

Carpenter was ecstatic to be nominated originally by her fellow students and is honored to move onto the ten-person court.

“I’m really excited and I feel honored that I got chosen to be on the court and to represent the junior class,” Carpenter said.

RHS will hold a rally this Friday in the Patti Baker theater for the junior class and voting will commence later that day.
