Roseville Joint Union High School District board members elected Andrew Tagg to replace the vacant seat left by Linda Park when she resigned early last month.

Tagg ran for the RJUHSD school board in November’s general election but lost to Julie Hirota and Gary Johnson. However, Tagg was selected to fill Park’s absence at the RJUHSD board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 14, soon after he and nine other candidates delivered five-minute speeches.

“I’m very excited,” Tagg said. “It’s like a second chance, after falling just short on the election, to do what I intended to do. And that was support education and continue to promote policies and procedures that give students in the district the very best education possible.”
