TRAILER WATCH: Tyler, The Creator releases hectic preview of ‘Cherry Bomb’ documentary
November 16, 2016
Tyler, The Creator gave hope to fans unable to attend his festival Camp Flog Gnaw by releasing an 80-second trailer/snippet giving insight to his documentary Cherry Bomb set to be released in January.
While this is just quick glimpse into what the film is to hold Tyler aired a 10-minute screening at Camp Flog Gnaw where he performed with longtime friend Earl Sweatshirt for the ever so rare EarlWolf collab.
Cherry bomb is tilted after Tyler’s fourth studio album, which was released last year, and as you can probably guess, the doc is following his creative process in doing so.
Throughout the trailer, it’s like a sitcom with a never ending list of guest stars. We see familiar faces such as Kanye West, Pharrell, Lil Wayne and my personal favorite, A$AP Rocky.
The trailer is very hectic and chaotic. It’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on but through it all we catch glimpses of things varying from what looks like A$AP smashing an egg over Tyler’s head and a man telling Tyler that he is his creative inspiration. Cherry Bomb is set to be only 45-minutes long so I’m excited to see how well he will be able to encase all of this in such a small amount of time – as anyone familiar with Loiter Squad knows her is capable of.
