The girls varsity volleyball team faces the Yuba City Honkers in the first round of playoffs tonight.

The Honkers managed to finish 9-3 in league and 21-7 overall, with a second-place finish in the Tri-County Conference league, allowing them to move on to the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.

Their standout player is 5’11” third year varsity player  pin hitter senior Dannika Day. Day has a .220 career hitting average after 179 sets played. She maintains 190 kills and 68 total blocks.

The Tigers are favored to win the game, and, if they do, they play the winner of the second seed Rocklin Thunder versus the fifteenth seed Wood Wildcats.
