After defeating Del Campo 28-24 on the road, the varsity Tigers will face off against the 3-1 Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack this Friday night. The team has looked very impressive on both sides of the ball thus far.

The Wolfpack boast a stout defense, only allowing 13.25 points a game. Averaging 3.5 sacks a game, the Wolfpack have a persistent pass rush and love to go after the quarterback. Leading the way on the defense is senior linebacker Reece Kelley. Kelley averages 8.5 solo tackles a game and likes to help out against the run game, totalling six tackles for losses this season.

The offense, on the other hand, is just good enough to win. Averaging 20.5 points per game, the Wolfpack offense feeds off the defense and scores just enough points to win. One of the threats that the Wolfpack has at its disposal is senior wide receiver Dajon Keola. He has scored two touchdowns this season, the most for a single player on the team.

With a chance to move to a commanding 5-0 on the season, this is the Tigers’ toughest challenge thus far and arguably the most significant since they entered the Capital Valley Conference. Cosumnes Oaks is one of the better teams in the CVC, and a win for the Tigers would be huge on their search for success this year.
