Varsity

The varsity volleyball team recorded another win for their season against the Del Campo Cougars. They improved to a four game win-streak, starting out league with a win.

The team handled the Cougars three sets to zero, with scores of 25-15, 25-4 and 25-15.

Junior defensive specialist, Paris Harwell, feels that the team has been improving immensely. She thinks they are playing more united as a team.

“I think our communication has gotten so much better, and it helps us out a lot,” Harwell said.

Harwell thinks that because the team has picked up a few new players from the previous season, communication was a focus point, but she can see changes already.

The Tigers face the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack tomorrow night at home, and Harwell is hopeful that the team will continue their win-streak, and will be able to bring in another win for league.

JV

The JV volleyball team took on the Del Campo Cougars last night, winning the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-12.

Sophomore outside hitter Madison Janney thinks that the team played very well, and it was good for them to pick up their first league win.

“We played really well both sets, and our team is really starting to improve,” Janney said. “It was a really good way for us to start off league, and hopefully we continue to play well.”

Freshmen

The freshman girls volleyball team opened up league play last night, beating the Del Campo Cougars in the first two sets by scores of 25-6 and 25-5.

Freshman setter Samantha Beaman thinks the team played well and thinks the match was a good morale booster for the team.

“We played really well, and our team was full of energy,” Beaman said. “It was a good win for us to open up league, and I hope we continue to play as well as we have.”
