Last year, the Roseville High School varsity girls golf program went undefeated in league, going 12-0. This year’s team is entering this season with eight players, three less than last season. Of those eight, six are returning players.

The two new additions are seniors Abby Hall and Haley Drinkwater. Returning senior, and recent commit to UC Riverside, Kayla Kwong, sees potential in the team despite having new faces and a smaller team.

“Well, I think last year’s team was pretty strong,” Kwong said. “This year we have two new players. I think we’re going to be just as successful as last year.”

The team finished its first match of the season on Tuesday with a 206-285 win against the Del Campo Cougars and also beat the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack with a score of 240-286 yesterday.
The Tigers look to improve on their strong start next Tuesday against the Antelope Titans at Cherry Island Golf Club.
