The varsity football team will travel to Rio Linda High School tonight to take on the Knights. After suffering a road loss to the Center Cougars in their first game, the Knights will try to bounce back and defend their home turf against the Tigers.

The Knights’ offense is one dimensional as they rushed for 210 yards and one touchdown against the Cougars. One player to watch out for tomorrow night is starting running back Eric Williams. Williams rushed for 143 yards last week and averaged 6.5 yards per carry. The offense’s passing game struggled, failing to break 100 yards in total.

The Knights struggled on the defensive side of the ball last week, giving up 28 points. Despite the struggles, seniors Isiah Maun and Tyler Reed still shined. Maun, a free safety, tallied 12 tackles and an interception last week while Reed, a defensive tackle, had 10 tackles, three being for a loss.
