Insidious: The perfect ending…hopefully

The trailer for Insidious: The Red Door was released on April 19 and will be the 5th movie within the Insidious universe. Set to be released on July 7, this horror film will be a continuation of the other films and is set after the previous events in Insidious Chapter 2. It will have the same cast as it did years ago, even down to the actor of Lipstick-Face Demon, played by Joseph Bishara. 

Taking place 10 years later, the film will show how the Lambert family is overcoming the events that happened to them, but the demons from the past are catching up to them affecting both Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Dalton (Ty Simpkins) Lambert. The two of them will venture back into The Further to try to stop these demons from plaguing their minds and lives once and for all. 

Based on the trailer, this film seems to be the final one within the Insidious universe, and seems like it will come full circle. If there were to be another film after this one, it wouldn’t make any sense within the storyline of these movies and would just seem useless. Here’s to hope of not letting that happen and having a great ending. 

The casting is the same as the other films, which is something that is deeply appreciated because no one would have played these characters better than the originals. The amount of talent these actors and actresses have is incredible, especially Simpkins, who was a child when these films first started. It is fair to say that there will be high expectations for them since they are returning actors with a few new people and characters. 

Joseph Bishara, the man who continuously haunts people’s dreams with each character he plays, will return to play Lipstick-Face Demon. While the character’s name is pretty funny, the character itself is something that has scared many people, and will be sure to do the same for this film. 

One of the main producers of this film is James Wan, and his most popular work is any film within The Conjuring universe. Wan definitely knows what he’s doing when it comes to these types of horror films, so the expectation for this film is higher than most films and will be sure to leave great jumpscares that will be caught off guard. With the returning cast and the hopeful end of the Insidious films, Insidious: The Red Door will be seen in theaters with high expectations. With terrifying jumpscares and an amazing plot, this film is set to give a good scare for everyone watching.
