Elemental rekindles Disney’s imagination
December 14, 2022
Disney and Pixar’s teaser trailer for Elemental came out on November 17 and looks like it will be an interesting film filled with characters that represent all of the elements such as earth, fire water, and air in a city.
One thing that I hope to see within the film is how this world is going to function, specifically how nature will act since the characters are made out of these elements. A question that I have for the film is whether or not some of the characters will have specific roles in this city and what they do in order to keep nature balanced. I hope to see clarification about this.
We also get a sneak peek of the city that this film will be located in and within it are places called Pine and The Swirl. Although the city looks modernized, it is safe to assume that everything within it will be filled with nature themes.
So far, we only have two actors that have been announced such as Leah Lewis, who will be playing Ember, and Mamoudou Athie, who will be playing Wade. Although the two actors aren’t known by many, they seem like a good fit for their characters and will make the film enjoyable to watch.
It’s not a surprise that the animation of the movie so far looks really good, especially since Pixar movies usually have one of the best animations that look almost realistic. Besides the other characters, Ember looks more 2-D instead of 3-D, but Pixar manages to make her look really good.
With the animation being amazing, I’m sure that the plot is also going to be just as good. Based on the teaser, it seems that Ember and Wade have made some sort of connection, even though she is fire and he is water. This plot seems to be like the basic opposites attract, but Disney and Pixar are doing it with the twist of literal opposites attracting each other.
The film is set to release on June 16, 2023, in theaters and while that is a long way to go, I will be getting tickets to see it as soon as it comes out.
