Senior Maddy McCrary has been dancing since she was two years old and it has been a hobby that has stuck with her throughout her whole life. Along with also being on the RHS dance team all four years of high school, she has also been dancing at a studio and going to competitions for 3 years.

“I’ve made a lot of great friends along the way and we’ve just been having a good time and it’s been really fun, I’ve met some of my best friends while dancing,” McCrary said.

With dancing for so many years, McCrary had made many memories that she made while dancing. There is a lot more meaning to McCrary than just the dancing part like the people she is always around during the whole dancing experience.

“Probably just the community that I’ve been around, I’ve made a lot of great friends along the way and we’ve just been having a great time together,” McCrary said.

One person McCrary has been dancing with over the years in high school is Senior Kennedy Roberts, who believes that not only is McCrary a great dancer, but she is also a great person as well.

“She’s a captain on our dance team and she’s a very great role model with everything she does on the team. She’s always encouraging our team to do better and is always giving us constructive criticism to make our team look better,” Roberts said.

The bond that McCrary and Roberts have created throughout the years has made being on the team even more fun for both of them.

“I’m really gonna miss it since it’s our last year together but hopefully we can dance at a studio or something together down the road,” Roberts said.

Though McCrary will miss the friends she met through dance, she is excited to see what the future holds for her.

“I’ll definitely miss it, I’ve been on the team all four years so it’s been a part of my life for a very long time and I love all the girls on the team, I also hope to dance in the future as well,” McCrary said.
