Ghostbusters snatches the fans

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was released on November 19th. The movie plays in many different ways into the 1980s ghostbusters film.
The movie has so many great actors Going from the Original movie to the new movie. From the original movie Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Harold Ramis . Then fast forwarding to the New movie you have Paul Rudd, and Finn Wolfard.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife takes place in a small town in Oklahoma. A single mother and her two kids are in a tough time and face many different challenges following the death of her late husband. Facing eviction they are forced to move to an old beat up farmhouse in the middle of Oklahoma.
Along the way they start to realize and wonder how much they actually relate to the 1984 original ghostbusters.
This movie in no way at all relates to the Ghostbusters movie that was released in 2016 starring Malissa Marcarthy, Kate Mikinnon, Kristin Wiig, and Leslie Jones.
The 2016 movie was not a great movie at all. They barely recognized the original movie and they tried to go off on their own route. The movie got a 74 percent on rotten tomatoes which is not bad but it’s also not great.
Afterlife ended up getting a 63 percent which really surprises me because of how they were able to connect the movies which made it really exciting to watch.
With The 1984 Ghostbusters and the 2016 Ghostbusters taking place in New York City, It added a new point of view when they shied away from taking place in New York and trying something new in Oklahoma.
I think that Afterlifes main purpose was to switch up the Older generation of Ghostbusters to the new and younger version of ghostbusters.
With the very start of the movie you can already see how the movies tie into each other and then as the movie progresses you see more and more of it which makes the audience sit on the edge of their seats even more.
Afterlifes ending is definitely one that you need to see. And i can’t wait to see what they do in the future with the movies
Like I said before with them wanting to transition to the younger generation, I actually like that. I enjoyed watching kids tie into the action with finding out how to fight the Ghosts.
Instead of the new generation creating new gadgets, new weapons , and a new car they decide to use the OG stuff and bring it all back. The original blasters, and my favorite the Original car.
You will be able to understand the movie no matter what but if you want to understand it even more I highly recommend watching the 1980s films because they reference those movies so much and it is really neat to see and hear the references that they decided to use.
Overall I really enjoyed Ghostbusters afterlife and how they brought in all the movies to transition from the older generation to the newer generation and how it sets it up for a second movie.
