Sony productions is back at it again with the famous Naughty Dog game, Uncharted. Only this time it’s not a video game, it’s a movie.

The movie has been in the talks for a decent amount of time but it’s just always fallen through. Finally it was given the okay and now it’s hitting the theaters in February of 2022.

The movie is bringing three  of the main characters Nathan Drake, Victor Sullivan, and Chloe. They are missing one of the main main characters, Elena.

I could be completely wrong but in the trailer and the cast list I didn’t see anyone who is playing Elena so it was kind of weird because she’s been with Nathan since the very first game.

The movie looks like it will pull out parts of each of the four games. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted: Among thieves, Uncharted: Drake’s Deception, and Uncharted: A Thief’s End.

It looks like they will use more of the fourth game’s story. So if you haven’t been able to play any of the games, I recommend either playing the games or going and reading a summary about the game to understand the movie.

The iconic character of Nathan Drake will be played by Tom Holland. I don’t like this casting choice because Nathan Drake is a character who is a middle aged man probably in his late thirties or early forties, and having Tom Holland’s seemingly young  features doesn’t make him a very convincing Nathan Drake.

When you look at Tom Holland he looks like a young teen who has no facial hair at all so it’s just weird for me to look at him and believe that he’s Nathan Drake.

Switching over to Victor Sullivan we are in the same dilemma as Nate Drake. Sully is going to be played by Mark Wahlberg.

Sully in the video games is this older man who has grey hair and a grey beard. But then when Mark Walberg is set as Sully, I’m just confused seeing him play such an unfitting role. Mark Wahlberg usually plays a hardened cop, and  not some middle-aged dependable father-figure

Don’t get me wrong, I think Walberg is a fantastic actor. He just doesn’t fit the role of Victor Sullivan.

Not having Elena in the movie will definitely be weird. In the trailer and in the cast list she didn’t show up. How can you not have Elena in the movie? She has literally been in every game with Nathan and been with him with every step of the way.

The action scenes in the movie will have a lot of hype to live up to with the video games being fantastic.

I can’t wait to see who they decide to put as the bad guy. Will they decide to put someone from the games or will they decide to create a brand new one?

I wouldn’t mind if they decided to put Zoran Lazarević. The bad guy from the second game. He was definitely the best antagonist out of all four games. But I also wouldn’t mind if they decided to introduce a brand new villain to the story of Nathan Drake.

In the trailer it talks about Nathan’s brother, Sam. By them talking about Sam that means they are starting either after or during the fourth game. The reason why is because the first time they introduced Nathan’s brother was in the fourth game.

With each game having a different item that Nathan has with him through the entire game, it gets fans thinking what will be the famous item and what will be the overall treasure he is trying to find this time?   I recommend that you go check out Uncharted when it hits the theaters in February of 2022.
