RJUHSD board votes for ‘choice’ distance learning grading model

Students will be able to choose between letter grades or credit/no credit grading for each class beginning April 20. A motion was made by board member Gary Johnson to adopt a policy to allow students to choose between models one and two on a class-per-class basis. The RJUHSD board passed the motion 4-0. Board member Paige Stauss abstained.

Students who choose a letter grade will be graded on the following scale:

4 (A): 100% – 86%
3 (B): 85% – 70%
2 (C): 69% – 50%
1 (NM): 49% – 0%
