RJUHSD expected to close schools through end of academic year

Students and faculty occupy the admin building hallway. Last month, the district board approved plans to implement a barrier where the hallway begins in order to increase campus security. The glass divider will have two doors and will be locked during school hours, according to RHS principal David Byrd.

According to superintendent Denise Herrmann at tonight’s board meeting, RJUHSD will announce the closure of all sites through May 29 tomorrow afternoon.

The board is expected to discuss plans for the class of 2020’s graduation at the next meeting on April 14.
