UPDATE: Widespread outages affect RJUHSD Chromebooks
March 28, 2020
UPDATE March 29, 2020 @ 8:28 p.m: According to RJUHSD director of technology Tony Ham, the recent Chromebook connectivity issue has been identified and resolved.
Several students have reported issues with their RJUHSD issued Chromebooks over the last two days.
According to many students, they are unable to access any website and their screens remain on either the Google homepage or a blank page.
“I was fed up,” senior Kira Runkle said. ”I didn’t even turn in my English homework because my computer wasn’t working.”
The issue appears to be widespread. The cause is unknown but may be tied to recent Google service outages. Eye of the Tiger is awaiting comment from the RJUHSD tech department.

OMG SAME it’s super annoying. My computer normally stops working (exactly as you described) at around 11 in the afternoon all the way to around 4 pm at BEST. It’s not an issue for me personally because I’m privileged enough to have an alternative computer that I use, but it’s definitely a hindrance when it comes to things like locked quizzes and simply an annoyance when I have to start a lot of my work all over again. I certainly see how this can be a major problem for those who don’t have another device or way to get their online work done. I look forward to seeing what the tech department has to say 🙂
