#3 – Josh Provins

Coming in at the number three spot or the top 9 winter athletes list is varsity wrestler junior Josh Provins.

This season, Provins had a 27-12 record on the mat, improving his career win total to 77. Provins is currently ranked 26th in the state and was named to the CVC all-conference team this year.

Provins, along with teammate Ethan Bandy, qualified for the state tournament this year where he fell first round.

Wrestling coach Doug Ash is impressed by the resilience and fight Provins has shown to get to where he is this season.

“I can’t express how impressive Josh’s run has been this year,” Ash said. “I feel like a proud father, seeing Josh battle through injuries all season that most people would have just given up after. It’s truly amazing and so special.”
