#2 – Tobi Metten

Coming in at the number two spot for the top 9 winter athletes list is boys varsity soccer forward senior, Tobias Metten.

Metten is a three-year varsity player and a two-year captain for the Tigers. This year, Metten acquired 10 goals and 8 assists on the season, helping to lead the Tigers offense.

Three-year teammate senior Mason Jones thinks Metten’s diverse skill range helps him be so successful.

“Tobi is a very creative and knowledgeable soccer player,” Jones said. “He sees the field very well which really helps him be a large contributor to our offense and score a lot of goals for us.”
Jones thinks his leadership is Metten’s strongest suit.

“Not only is he a great soccer player but he’s a great leader,” Jones said. “Tobi is constantly leading by example on and off the field.”
