Students receive parking tickets for blocking driveways, entryways

To cope with Roseville High School’s limited parking, students park outside of the school’s designated parking spots. However, students have recently experienced an increase in parking tickets due to parking in the alley and permit parking only spots.
According to Youth Resource Officer Nathan Hance, some of the tickets are due to complaints from homeowners with blocked-off driveways.
“Ultimately they are writing the tickets because people are either blocking homeowners driveways in some way,” Hance said. “They are also blocking the alley in some manner, which would prevent things like the garbage truck who comes through to get all the get all of the garbage from the alley and is also preventing a fire truck if they needed to get into the alley.”
