Last Friday night, the Roseville Tiger took on the Woodcreek Timberwolves in the second annual Junction Bowl, where Roseville defeated Woodcreek 55-20. The historic rivalry game sparked an interest in students, with many coming out to support the football team in the white-out themed Tiger Cage adjacent to Woodcreek’s black-out student section.

The game started fast with touchdowns from Joe Brijs, Carlos Alvarez, Cole Errecart, and Tommy Spencer in the first half for a total of 28 points, giving the Tigers a generous lead over the Timberwolves 14 points going into the second half.

Roseville’s offense dominated over Woodcreek’s, with stellar play from junior Joe Brijs, senior Tommy Spencer, and senior Cooper Thompson. Brijs had a total of six tackles and four touchdowns, proving his defensive and offensive threat to any opposing team, while captain Tommy Spencer had a total of 84 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Friday served as a league opener for the two teams, advancing Roseville’s overall record to 3-2 and league record to 1-0. The Tigers play the Antelope Titans this Friday at home in Roseville’s homecoming game.
