Alger also visited USC, Cal, Stanford, and UNR but Alger chose UCLA for their environment around the coaches and players, but Alger chose UCLA for reasons close to him.

“I chose UCLA because I love LA and I have a really good connection with all the coaches there and I feel they can develop me to my highest potential,” Alger said. “I fell in love once I stepped on the campus, the weather is great there and my grandparents live 30 minutes from the school and was just a better all around for academics and athletics and I love the coaches there.”

UCLA is 3rd in their conference behind Oregon state and Stanford and Number 1 nationally ranked in their recruitings. So far this season for UCLA they have played 41 games with 253 runs with a batting average of .284 an on base percentage of .378 and 31 Home Runs.
