Last Wednesday, the RHS track team traveled to Inderkum High school and competed in their second CVC meet of the season.  Overall, the team took first in 32 of the 58 events. Girls JV, Girls Varsity, and Boys Varsity all took a win against the Inderkum Tigers

So far this season, the Girls Varsity 4×100 team has been dominating and took first place on Wednesday.  Varsity relay runner sophomore Cierra Bernardy believes that despite the bad weather conditions of the meet, the team was still able to push through and do really well.

“It was windy and rainy and the track wasn’t very good but we were still able to be successful and do great at the meet,” Bernardy said.

Despite losing junior Malik Bowman in the Sturgeon invitation on March 9th to a severe hip injury, the Boys Varsity 4×100 team was able to win their race at Inderkum on Wednesday.

Senior Donovan Jones had a successful meet in his triple jump and long jump events and took first place in both.  Jones is heading to the Stanford Invitational along with Junior Jaheem Seay this weekend.
