Boys varsity basketball keeps Yuba City at bay, guards CVC position

Last Friday night the boys varsity basketball team defeated the Yuba City Honkers by a score of 78-62. The Tigers remain in first place in the CVC with a league record of 9-1.

Senior Hayden Hatch believes the team was focused on winning and gave a lot of effort.

“We all knew we had to win that game,” Hatch said. “Everyone was focused and gave a lot of effort throughout the whole game.”

Sophomore Josh Alger scored 22 points for the Tigers last Friday.

“Josh had a big game for us,” Hatch said. “He was knocking down shots and crashing for every rebound.”

Senior Jaylen Solich also put in effort for the Tigers and scored 22 points.
