Girls basketball burns Yuba City with hot hands

At last night’s girls varsity basketball game the Tigers defeated the Yuba City Honkers with a score of 70-18, improving the Tigers record to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in league and placing them second in league.

Sophomore Alyssa Sandle believes last night’s win was due to the team’s overall work ethic and ability to pinpoint the other team’s weaknesses.

“We started to play together as a team and that’s when we really prevailed,” Sandle said. “We also took advantage of our strengths, and moved the ball really good.”

Sandle also added that the team’s shots were incredibly accurate, and were a huge contributor to the team’s win.

“Last night everyone had a hot hand; we couldn’t miss,” Sandle said. “We moved the ball better than we ever had and we made all our shots.”
