Last night the girls varsity volleyball team lost to pleasant valley high school in four sets, making their overall record 1-3. Junior Sam Beaman believes the team could have came out on top if they had been able to prevent Pleasant Valley’s leads.

“Our energy was high for most of the game, although there were times where the other team would go on runs and we would be in a slump,” Beaman said. “If we could’ve been able to get out of those slumps faster, we probably could’ve come back and won that game.”

As the team recovers from a close loss, they are in the midst of preparing for their game against crosstown rivals, the Woodcreek Timberwolves on Thursday.
