Varsity Volleyball triumphs over Oakmont

The Roseville High School girls varsity volleyball team came out with a 3-2 victory over the rival Oakmont vikings last monday night. Playing in their fist five set match of the season, junior Madison Whitaker thought the team fought hard through every set.

“We came back after being down 2-1, winning the 4th and 5th sets by a close margin,” Whitaker said. “I’m glad we have a win in the win column and i’m glad we were able to do it against Oakmont.”

Prior to the Varsity match, both JV and Freshman fell to the Vikings with scores of 2-0. After having a taste of what it feels like to win for the 2018-2019 season, the Varsity team looks to keep the ball rolling on Tuesday night against Pleasant Valley and again Thursday night against Woodcreek.
