Boys golf finishes eighth in first tournament of the year

This Monday, the Boys Golf team played in their first tournament of the year, the Wolfpack Invitational at Castle Oaks Golf Course. This track played difficulty, as the Tigers had three players shoot over 100, which showed the true strength of Castle Oaks.  The team finished in eighth place out of eighteen teams, which shows improvement through their past few matches. Senior Chase Baker was happy with their finish and feels that the team has shown they can rise to the challenge.

“Personally, I didn’t have my best round but our underclassmen had their first tournament and really played well. We went up against some good teams and finished eighth, so we are all excited about that,” said Baker.

The boys will have their next match at Bartley Cavanaugh this Thursday.
