Girls soccer season comes to an end
March 7, 2018
Yesterday, the varsity girls soccer team season came to an end after losing to the Livermore Cowboys 1-0, concluding their season. The girls finished with a record of 14-5-4. No girls soccer team in Roseville High School’s history has made it to regionals, making this years’ team the first. Junior top goalscorer and forward Mackenzie Gill was disappointed for their season to end, but knew it had to be over eventually.
“It sucks that our season’s over, and even though we’re a great team, I think our season had to end eventually,” Gill said. “Either way, it was a great season and I look forward to next year.”
Gill also reflected on the teams future section hopes for the following season.
“We have a lot of young talent and might be able to win sections next year, however, I think we will miss seniors like Cami Miller, Sarah Sessano, and Kendall Sparks, and Emma Smith,” Gill said.
