Yesterday, the varsity girls soccer team continued to deliver and answer to their high expectations, beating the Rocklin Thunder 1-0, due to the goal from the tigers’ leading scorer, Mackenzie Gill, scoring the goal in the last 10 minutes of the match. The victory means they will move onto the section championship, and possibly beyond. Junior Kylie Granno is excited to be in the championship game, and hopes to not let the idea of regionals conflict with their section championship game..

“We have incredible talent, enough to move past sections, but we still have to beat River City on Saturday,” Granno said. “They are a tough team, meaning we can’t afford to get ahead of ourselves before we get set on regionals.”

The tigers will play on Saturday against the River City Raiders at Elk Grove High School at 4:00 pm, where they will compete for the Division 2 section championship.
