Last night, the girls varsity soccer team defeated the Oakmont Vikings 4-0, securing second place in league. The girls’ second place finish will most likely lead to a potential home playoff game, with playoffs starting next week. Junior defender Kylie Granno is excited for playoffs, and looks forward to making a run at a back to back section championship.

“I think we’re ready for playoffs. In my opinion, our team chemistry and ability makes us one of best teams in the area,” Granno said.

Granno also looks forward to moving on past sections this year, contrary to last year’s finish.

“We still have a lot to do before we talk about moving on to regionals and possibly state, but it would be amazing to win sections and not stop there like we did last season,” Granno said. “We need to stay focused and keep playing as a unit.”
