Students create sports, lifestyle blog

A group of Roseville High School students have taken it upon themselves to create a blog with daily posts about sports, lifestyle and opinions.

Juniors Jamie Bateman and Joe Cirrincione and sophomores Ben Furdek and Bradley Morin started their blog in the beginning of the school year with the intent to voice their feelings about subjects that made them happy.

Furdek appreciates the wide range of topics they discuss on the blog and is inspired by other popular podcasts before his group.

“I think it’s a lot of fun. We were kind of inspired by guys like ‘Total Frat Move’ and ‘Barstool Sports’ and what they do,” Furdek said. “It looks like they have a lot of fun so that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Bateman prefers to discuss sports-related major events on the blog and anything else that’s relevant or seems worthy of discussion.

“We’ve discussed about everything sports-like, we did one on Justin Tucker, the Pro Bowl, the Knicks and Hawks played a 4 overtime game, and just major events.” Bateman said.

According to Cirrincione, the blog is still in the works in terms of development but will continue to work with his friends in order to produce content that they like.

“We discuss multiple topics ranging from sports to everyday activities such as things like the best pizza around town,” Cirrincione said.  “I’ve only done a couple posts, but the rest of the boys do a lot more and I know it’ll continue.
